The challenge
Clients needed vanities, furniture, and millwork that did not look purchased in a package. The work was busy enough that the shop could not keep every piece in-house.
The vision
Pieces built to the house, not catalog boxes forced into a room.
The strategy
Own the capability. Then, when demand exceeded the shop, keep the standard and outsource to people who could meet it — not to whoever was cheapest that week.
The construction
The principal owned a cabinet shop and built custom furniture and vanities. That is why millwork on a Gulf & Key job is not treated as a mystery trade that arrives at the end and argues with the drywall.
The result
A builder who can read a shop drawing, a grain match, and a hinge. On Florida coastal jobs, millwork also has to survive humidity. We specify and build accordingly.
